Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen shooting in Fairmount Park, Laurel Hill Cemetery, Philadelphia, PA. This raw bystander footage was shot by me on June 10th, 2008 from Kelly Drive (just below the set). They were using a helicopter (which was also seen in Bethlehem, PA) mounted with an aerial camera rig, sweeping above the cemetery and out above the nearby river.

Just got back from looking at apartments—looks like we found a place. Joe’s not quite sold on it, but he’s pretty much resigned to the fact that we’re moving back my hometown It’s actually pretty nice—a big enough kitchen, a decent-sized bedroom, and only a couple blocks from Mom’s house. The rent’s a little more than I think we can really afford, but Joe keeps reminding me that we’re not going to be staying here that long anyway. Or so he thinks. I’ve been careful not to say anything either way.

He’s going to be working at Diamond East, but he keeps saying he wants to find a job outside of town. I don’t think he really understands how much this area depends on that coal mine—they won’t let him go without a fight. From what I’ve heard, that place needs every miner they can get.

One of my girlfriends thinks she can get me a part-time job with her at the sock mill. Not a lot, but just enough hours so that I can bring in some extra money to help Mom out. I can’t believe how much of my old high school crowd is still here, working at the mill, the mine, or the five-and-dime. I never thought I’d wind up back here, as one of them. I always swore I’d never be back. But life doesn’t always hand you what you expect.

K
